First off, for those who have been following this build, thank you for all the encouragement along the way. It has been a while since Brad got started on this guitar and I appreciate your hanging in there with me.

My UPS man typically visits late in the afternoon so yesterday, even though the tracking said "out for delivery", I went to work and did the normal refresh every 5 minutes on the UPS tracking website. Imagine my surprise when the word "delivered" came up about 11:30 a.m. I left the office immediately and made a beeline for home (record time I might add :)).

My pics aren't nearly as nice as the ones I received from Brad (the glamour shots posted earlier) but I know how much you folks like pictures so I decided to post them anyway.

This is what I found when I got home:

I hope you have enjoyed the journey as much as I have.

The tone is deep and resonant. My first experience with a soundport and ... I like it! Good balance with deep throaty base, present mids and nice fat trebles. Modern sounding. Very responsive to a light touch but it really belts it out when you dig in. I really like that it is a different voice from my other guitars. Neck is great too. Very comfortable. I haven't done anything with the adjustable neck (doesn't need anything) but it is very cool to see light between the fretboard extension and the top while playing.

Give me some time to get to know this guitar better and I will post up some sound clips.

I love it JR!  :)   Absolutely, positively!  Other than the long period of time to build it I wouldn't change one thing. And you mention the case ... that was another choice I got to make. This guitar is so much a part of me and that's the way it feels when I sit down to play it!

I can't say WHOA! enough! That is absolutely gorgeous! I think I'd be screaming at UPS, though, for leaving that prize out on my front porch. What in the world were they thinking?! Congratz!!!

Actually, I can't blame UPS. I left them a signature slip hanging on the door. Didn't want to take a chance that it would spend another night in the UPS facility.

Thanks for the congrats and such. I am pleased as punch to have it!

Depends. Are you talking in person? Or a recording (which you can never trust by the way)?

Yes I do. I was thinking about getting in touch with Diane. Maybe we could all get together and jam. After Christmas would be better for me.
