Please give a warm welcome to UTGF's 1,000th member "Jake"   :o   ;D

It's been an honor watching as this little forum has grown in the last 9 months.  I'm constantly astounded at the type of information that I've been able to learn while reading on here.

You all make this little community a great place to hang out.  Thank you all!   ;D

Thanks all>> Just bought my Taylor yesterday. It's in shop now getting some strings I hope I can play on in that I've played nylon. Bought what seems to be one of the last remaining spring 2011 414ce cedar-walnut ones. Loved the sound when someone other than myself played it.. could have gone for the 714 rosewood for about the same money.. I hope I don't have buyers regret. Tell me I was right.LOL

Welcome aboard, Jake!  Great folks here ...looking forward to hearing from you.  :)

And as for your choice, I cannot see anyone going wrong with a cedar-topped Taylor.  I've not heard one in walnut (hmmm, that's gotta look nice!), but Taylor really seems to do a stellar job with cedar as far as I'm concerned.  Enjoy it in good health!  Now go take some pics and post em, will ya! :)

Welcome aboard. I was curious as to whether a new Taylor forum would emerge from the decision at AGF to reorganize. Things tend to work out just the way they're supposed to....

Hey Jake, welcome aboard!

Stick around here and you'll be changing your own strings and setting up your guitars all by yourself in no time at all.  Many questions will pop up soon enough, that's why this forum exists, so don't hesitate to bring them on.  Your new guitar sounds like a beauty.

Hi Jake and welcome.  Congrats on the new guitar!  I picked up one of those a few months ago and absolutely love it.  I think the Walnut / Cedar combo sounds incredible.  Hope you enjoy yours.
