New Guitar time!
« on: July 26, 2012, 08:22:38 AM »
I've been playing on and off for a few years. Had a Martin DC-16GT that got stolen and I used this opportunity to upgrade a bit. I fell in love with the sound of an 814 and couldn't get myself to buy a 414 instead, as it just didn't sound as full. Did some research and found the Fall Limited 2011 414ce's. Wildwood guitars was awesome and it should be here tomorrow. I found one with a unique grain on the front, so it's a touch different than other 414s and 814s that I saw out there. I'm excited and can't wait to start playing it.

yeah that's definately a nice looking top, very special.
It'll probably become even nicer over time, I expect a bit more pronounced. I do like the vintage look of spruce, cool.

Man this thing is awesome. Love the top and more importantly, love the way it sounds. Has that 814 bass that you can feel in your belly and sounds super full. Exactly what I was looking for.

That top is breath-taking! After you have a chance to play it, if it is possible, we'd love to see more pics of it--especially that top! :)

Great looking guitar. Congratulations! I've never seen a Taylor with that kind of top before.

That's plugged straight into the Mac Mini and garage band. Figured with one of those USB things it would sound a little nicer, but this will do just fine for now.

I'll take some more pics this weekend. Still enjoying the heck out of it. That top is almost "3d" ish as the grain seems to change ever so slightly depending on angle. Super cool. Glad I found it :)
