Why not rechargeable Lithum Ion?
« on: June 26, 2012, 02:19:41 PM »
They last 10 times longer then Duracells and being rechargeable I think they may be greener too.
Nothing easier then plugging in a wall addapter and you're good for another 100 hours of electric play.
Does anyone know about such upgrade?

We use rechargeables in most of our devices, but not in the cameras.
Seems that after a few cycles the rechargeables just don't charge up the flash quickly at all anymore, which is a deal-breaker since we are usually trying to capture fleeting expressions and cute moments of our 1-year old.
But all the remotes, baby toys, etc use the rechargeables.

Thx for the info Not Darth,

I don't think it'll hurt to give it a try, have plenty of other 9 volt stomp boxes should there be any problems. It just needs to be the right size, read a few articles in Holland where some people couldn't open the battery compartment anymore after forcefully inserting slightly different sized battery.
Ah well, the old screwdriver and hammer trick probably fixed their problem, :)
