Hello from Arizona
« on: June 04, 2012, 02:06:12 PM »
It has been years since I have played the guitar and subsequently made a promise to myself to learn in a proper and structured way. I always enjoyed playing and am excited to restart that experience. I know I have a long road ahead of me, but I intend to enjoy the journey. I was astounded with the Hummingbird and an old Epi 12 string (it rekindled my love for the 12).
In the 70's I used to attend the Walnut Valley Assn.'s National Flatpicking Contest. Every year including Spring Fling (while it lasted).
It was there I became acquainted with some of the modern day legends of bluegrass. Grew up on Folk and of course Rock was a big part of my life. Classical and Opera also its place.
So here I am starting over, hence my user name "Restringing."
I want to thank you for how much you have helped me as I lurked about in the past. As of now I haven't much to contribute, but maybe ... maybe in the future, hopefully I will.

Welcome to the UTGF, Restringing! :) So is your area pretty dry humidity-wise year round?

Nice to have you here with us! :D

Welcome back to guitar playing, and to UTGF.

Welcome, I went to the store to get a DN3 and came out with a Fall LTD 516....go figure.  I enjoy flatpicking and was recently at a clinic given by Scott Fore, he was a joy to listen to and learn from.
