did a little 'measuring' & here's what it looks like to me -
case measurements (taken from the lid, except for depth)

2012 GA deluxe
5 1/2" headstock
4 7/8" neck
13 3/8" upper bout
11 7/8" waist
17 7/8" lower bout
43 5/8" length
5 3/4" depth (not taking into account the arch in the lid)
lower treble bout latch around 4:30/5 o'clock

2007 GA deluxe
6 3/8" headstock
5 3/8" neck
14 1/4" upper bout
12 3/4" waist
18 1/2" lower bout
43 5/8" length
5 3/4" depth
end latch at tailblock (6 o'clock)

06 GC deluxe (monkey butt)
6 1/4" headstock
5 1/4" neck
13 1/2" upper bout
11 5/8" waist
17 3/4" lower bout
43 3/8" length
5 1/2" depth
treble bout latch around 4:30/5 o'clock

i didn't take any measurements on the black case, as it was for a GS (316/356ce) -
Cindy, i'm just wondering how the replacement case looks when it's side-by-side with
the one that came with your BTO 914ce, because if the lining is compressed to about 5/8"
when the guitar is in the case, is there any possibility that it could  be a GC/X12 case ???
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

The faux alligator skin case on my GS8 has been pretty tough and I've abused it a pretty good bit...except for the locking latch.  The alignment was a little of and the snapping latching just broke clean off.  So I can't lock her now.  If I'm ever in Southern California, I'll try to get that fixed...

You might be able to get that repaired at a luggage store.

I see where you're going with that, but not something that's going to be repaired at the factory. You'd be far more likely to get it repaired at a local luggage shop...
