Hello, UTGF!
« on: December 14, 2011, 05:17:31 PM »
Hello, UTGF! You can call me Jack Sparrow and I play mostly rock.

I'll be lurking here mostly though I might opine from time to time, you never know. Figured I'd make an account to support you all, CONGRATS jjrpilot for stepping up to bat and making this place!!

Bet I'm your first and only token non-Taylor player. See, my favorite acoustic guitars are actually cheap n nasty laminates. Love those things! But I do like Taylors too ... they might even be my second favorites. Might well end up with a Taylor too someday though for the moment I'm satisfied with what I've got.

So hello and congrats on the great success so far!

Couldn't think of a screenname when I first unlurked on the "other" forum, had just watched one of the Pirates movies and figured "sure, why not?" Haha. Thanks for the welcome ... matey! Arrrrr! ;)

Welcome.  I'm a laminate lover myself.  I really love the way Yamaha can get so much sound out of some saw dust and glue.

Welcome Jack.....

I'm with BO, I too love laminates. My Recording King ROS-06 is a whopper of a guitar for almost no money, and really fun to play.

Hello Jack Sparrow! Please hang out around here and maybe you'll develop such a GAS attack that you will run out and get yourself a Taylor! ;D

Thanks for the welcome all, glad I'm not the only one who likes laminates!

Cindy, it could happen, you never know. I will say that IF I ever develop Taylor GAS, it would probably be for either a 100 or 600 series. ;)
