New Taylor 400 series

Tobias Music released a pretty good video with details and demos on the new Taylor 400 series. 412 (grand concert), 414 (grand auditorium) and 417 (grand pacific) body shapes.

taylor seems to be liking burst and color finishes as of late

I love the way Taylor does their tobacco sunburst. I had a GA7 with that burst and it was one of the best looking guitars I've ever had...until I found my AD27e Flametop.

I'm curious to see how the 417 stacks up against up against the 717. One thing I don't care for with the 717 was the strap button drilled into the back. It's also interesting to see less of a difference in price point. The 400 series is no longer one of the value options like it used to be, but rosewood is a premium wood. On the other hand, I feel like my Flametop is a great value for the price!

Cool vid ...thanks for posting that!

I love that Taylor has come back to making the "Limited" guitar as they used to have a Fall and Spring Ltd for years.  Each variant had its own "flavor package" that was off-menu compared to the rest of the line, and IMO the Ltds offer a value that goes well beyond the regular guits.  Cool new offerings.
