312ce 12 fret strings.

Yeah I know, yet another string thread. I just got my new 312 five days ago. I’m liking it quite a bit and I am liking the Elixirs pretty well. I tend to experiment with strings a lot. I like 80/20’s the most on my Larrivees (spruce/hog) so I’m going to try those next. Also I want to try EB alum/bronze and probably monels at some point. Of course I know it’s all very subjective but I’m curious what others enjoy on their 312’s.

Welcome to the forum. I tend to stick to Elixir’s the most, and on my 322e(not a 312 I know) I actually like the D’Addario XS strings in PB marginally better than the Elixir’s. I have also tried SCGC strings on that one but didn’t care for them as much. Enjoy the hunt for the best string for you.

Welcome aboard!

On the GC Taylors, I've found that the elixir med-lights in PB are great.  The med-gauge EAD strings offer bigger bass notes which is nice on these smaller bodied guitars.  I also prefer this same set on GAs, btw.
