Homemade Humidity Tent
« on: December 26, 2022, 04:00:13 PM »
I've been looking at a humidity tent called a Musik Humidity Tent. Selling for about $325. It looks pretty simple, and I always hate paying for something I could make. I ended up making one for under $90. I did purchase their humidity delivery device that turns out to be pretty much a water bottle with a parachute type chord for the delivery of the moisture. You can adjust the amount of humidity by the amount of exposed filament. I'm using two filaments due to the very dry Utah climate. I've been using it for about two months now, and the humidity hasn't varied more than +/- 7%. The only maintenance is adding distilled water every few months. I also made my own humidity water bottle system and experimenting with different filaments.

The tent fits both my AD17 and 314CE with plenty of room. I'll be making another one for my other two guitars.
