Inlay guide 2012 and BTO orders
« on: February 12, 2012, 11:19:35 AM »
I am looking at the pdf and wondering why the 800 series inlay says "Mother of pearl & Abalone" when the inlays are clearly just mop.

Secondly, does anyone know if i can request Paua or Agoya on the inlay sets?

Maybe the inlays are a combination of ab & mop. Have asked your dealer about this?

the center part of the 800 inlay should  be abalone, but
specifications are 'subject to change without notice'

here's a pic of Edward DN BTO with Artist inlays

paua ab is in the center & the leaves or 'wings' appear to be MOP -
i also have one with ab/MOP fretmarkers that are '2-tone' also

paua may be an option some inlays, such as the Cindy -
there have been paua 600 series done in the past (03 L2)

& the Taylor headstock logo in paua is on the current BTO sheet, but
Greenheart has the best suggestion, imho, in contacting your dealer
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...
