NGD Taylor AD22e
« on: August 02, 2022, 09:35:55 PM »
Yesterday I took a ride over to Russo Music in Asbury Park (fab store) to try out 2 different Taylor mahogany guitars. Both similar, yet different guitars, the AD22e and the 322e 12 fret. Both sounded fabulous and the 322 was a contender. But after an hour and a half, I decided against the slot head 12 fret 322e and went for the 14 fret AD22e.

Playablilty is second to none, I really dig the Taylor neck, it plays itself. It's my first mahogany topped guitar and the warm and full sounding mid-based tones have knocked me out.

Can't wait to gig it, which will be next Friday, my next gigs before than are outdoors and my Rainsong will be accompanying me in the heat.

I played one about 2 weeks ago, and it was great. My problem is that I'm an older player, and find it difficult to shoulder larger body's for any length of time. Otherwise I'd be all over it. Congrats and enjoy.

Hi Toucan, Thanks much!
Did you play the AD22 or AD27?  The AD22 is a Grand Concert, not a big body.
Thanks again.

The only one at my local GC was a AD27. Looking forward to try a AD22 someday.
