Greetings from the Deep South!!
« on: February 07, 2012, 04:57:43 PM »
Greetings!  I am new here to the forum and just saw the introduce yourself thread.  I live in Jackson, Mississippi where the winter temperature so far has averaged a balmy 70 degrees. :)  I started playing guitar as a freshman in college 25 years ago but you couldn't tell by my playing. :'(   I purchased my first Taylor right after I got married in 1996, a 420 limited in quilted maple.  I kept it until last year when I sold it to replace it with the GC-8 I now have.  (Thanks to Jim at Guitar Rodeo!!!!)  I also have a T-3 but am trying to sell it because I'm dying to try a Taylor Baritone.  My main electric is a Fender deluxe strat played through a Mesa Boogie Electra Dyne.  If I had the money,  I would have 20 Taylors.  I love most styles of music but my current favorites are players like Antoine Dufour,  Andy Mckee,  Tommy Emmanuel,  and Andy Timmons.  I've been a member of the Acoustic Guitar forum for a little over a year and saw someone mention this forum over here.

Happy Tunes.

Welcome BBREWER to UTGF.  We are almost neighbors, I live in Baton Rouge, LA.  I purchased my Taylor also from Jim at Guitar Rodeo, who is a pleasure to deal with.

Have fun!
