Which hygrometer do you use in your guitar cases?
« on: January 07, 2021, 04:33:08 AM »
Since I just had to pay a dehumidifying process to Taylor since my guitar was getting too wet and with wrong neck angle at RH of 70%, I need to start keeping my Taylor 110E in a proper RH, in ranges of RH of 45% and 55%, since I have big problems with humidity in my house, and I'm placing a dehumidifier within the case to control this.

So I have a dilema, I have four humidity sensors, sitting for hours side by side to verify differences:

- one of those chinese rubish sensors of 1€, marks 51%

- two zigbee identical sensors Xiaomi Aqara, mark 58% and 54%

- another one Xiaomi - Bluetooth - mark 60%

- Govee bluetooth sensor mark 49% (supposedly these are very accurate)

All of them except the first sensor have supposedly a margin of error of 3%.

As you can see I can't find a pattern, and I have ranges of 49% to 60%.

Honestly I think I just should by a proper hygrometer, but have no idea why. Any ideas? I live in Portugal.

Hi,

I use an Oasis Caliber IV digital hygrometer (and thermometer) and it works great!  Very accurate in my experience.
