MiSi Align XT pickup system in Taylor 414

A couple months back I picked up a nice 414 that (after a neck reset) I've been enjoying the heck out of except for the plugged in sound. Mine came with the version 1.2 of the Expression System which no one seems to care for. I like the way Taylor puts the preamp in the bout with the mini knobs so I replaced the Expression with the MiSi Align XT which is a direct replacement. Trying it out this morning it was without a doubt an improvement ! Now I'm not familiar with many of the other KK, Fishman, etc... options so cannot compare there but I can state unequivocally that this is an improvement (to my ear) over the 1.2 and keeps the factory look . AND only $150.

And dang if the tone controls on my 310 (v1.2) didn’t just die........ had a second MiSi installed.
