Good morning everyone from Northern California
« on: January 14, 2020, 10:23:52 AM »
Happy to join the group and talk about Taylor guitars. I have a 310ce, 414ce Ltd and 416ce as I perform in an acoustic trio that requires I use numerous alternate tunings in our set list. I was hoping to fit the 310 with a set of Tronical Tuners but had problems with the order so just decided to go as is.
Love my Taylor’s but I do wish the body shape of the 414 and 416 were more different from each other, not really sure mine sound any different? Regardless they are fine guitars.

Welcome Tomm!

I agree that the GA and the GS are not very different; that's why I've stayed with the GA, since I find it a bit more comfortable than the GS, especially due to my preference for light gauge strings. I do like the 400 series very much; they are great workhorses. Enjoy your stay!
My Taylor Grand Auditoriums:

1997 Cujo14 - old growth cedar/black walnut
2014 K24e - master grade koa
2018 Custom GA - bear claw sitka spruce/mahogany
2019 614 - torrified sitka spruce/flamed maple
2020 714 - lutz spruce/rosewood
