A pretty substantial quake woke me last night. Living in the bay we get used to the little ones that are common but last nights' 4.5 was unnerving. Being approximately 3 miles from the epicenter had a bit to do with it. i lived through the Loma Prieta which 30 year anniversary is Thursday. Last nights couldn't really compare but it was a jolting shaker that had me wondering at the time if this was the big one. Just had another in Hollister (4.8) 15 miles south of San Jose. Buckle up NorCal.

Man, a 4.5 won't even stir my coffee...
;D
Glad to hear everything is okay!

When you're right on top of a shallow one 4.5 will knock the pot off the counter. Believe me. Thanks for the well wishes.

I lived in southern California for 30 years...

Glad it wasn't any bigger than that and you're safe. I've only felt one in my life, when we experienced one in the Lansing, MI area over 30 years ago. You can have 'em, just like people tell us we can have the snow. ;)

When people would come visit us when we lived in California, we'd say "You got here just in time for earthquake season!!"
Freaked 'em out every time...
