Title: FS/FT 1984 (Lemon Grove) Taylor 712
Post by: Reviveourhomes on May 05, 2018, 08:10:27 AM
I have a sweet and hard to find 1984 Lemon Grove Taylor 712 with Spruce top, three peice EIR back and EIR sides that I would like to sell or trade. This is a gorgeous, great playing and beautiful sounding 34 year old Taylor but it does have some honest use marks. 1984 was the first year for the GC body style and Taylor says the first GC ever was only 20 guitars before this one so this could be one of the first 2-3 ever made, pretty cool. I have only seen one other GC sized Lemon Grove guitar. All the others I see are Dreadnaughts and Jumbos so this one seems pretty rare. There are absolutley NO structural issues with the guitar but it does have some buckle rash, chips, dings and finish crazing typical of a 34 year old guitar. I love everything about this guitar EXCEPT its 1 11/16" nut width. I actually prefer a 1 7/8" nut so this one is tough to get used to for me. This guitar comes with a newer Taylor case. I would like to trade for a GC, GA or OM/000 sized guitar with a 1 7/8” or 1 3/4” nut width, I would also accept partial trades plus cash or I would sell for $1300 shipped.
