Hi Dan,
In both videos I was using Elixir Nanoweb PB strings. On Merry Gentlemen they were HD Lights 13-53.
Before I recorded Silent Night I changed them to lights 12-53. The HDs took away the slinky feel of the 12 fret for me.

Thanks.... they had a great sound so I was curious.
I also believe it's more the player than the parts.
