We are losing so many artists of the 60s and 70s...

It's just not right that established rock artists from these eras, like J. Geils, will -- presumably someday -- be give the hollow honor of posthumous induction into the R&R HoF...  Especially after so many flash-in-the-pan and 'unqualified' artists are already in...

Has a cause of death been reported?  His death seemed kind-of sudden.

Apparently Mr. Geils was also a collector of vintage cars; his collection (https://www.mecum.com/auctions/monterey-2017/collections/j-geils-collection/?utm_source=AAInfoNet+Master&utm_campaign=92e4b9a781-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_Weekly_070717&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_fa410e9114-92e4b9a781-112803621) is being auctioned off in August at Mecum Monterey 2017.

I was told from a reliable source (a guy I trust who is in a position to know) that Geils started playing music on the trumpet. He supposedly owned Louis Armstrong's trumpet.
