Toying with the idea of a Taylor BTO. In your experience, who is the best dealer for BTO? Also, anyone have an up to date worksheet? Thanks!
-
Go to LA guitar sales and ask for Ted. I ordered my BTO from him and I got in within 8 weeks . Other places took about 3 month
-
I own 4 BTOs that I 'm thrilled with. I worked with Eric Martin of Martin Music in Memphis on all 4 of these. Eric will shepherd you through the process with enthusiasm and professionalism. You will truly enjoy the journey!

I did a BTO with Ted at LA Guitar Sales. It was a very pleasant process and I got a fabulous guitar.

Same here.

Resurrectiing an old thread to see if anyone has any additional recmmendations for a BTO dealer. I am asking the dealer I bought my new NAMM piece from if I can return iti because the lack of a cutaway may be a dealbreaker for me - I never realized how important that was to me until I bought my first guitar that didn’t have one.
I figured it might be best just to do a BTO at this point...

Some things don't change. Ted at LA Guitar Sales. But others may add some info, such as Zeebow

shoreline music is who i use, john is awesome to work with. he has a pretty lenient return policy (that i never use)
12 frets are certainly tighter up the neck of uou don’t have a cutaway but i don’t play that high up the neck

As stated earlier in this thread, Eric Martin of Martin Music is my go-to guy. I have ordered multiple BTOs through him with great success!

Thanks very much, I was leaning between him and Tobias Music. The advantage of Tobias is that they said they would let me select from some wood sets - will Ted at LA Guitar Sales do that as well? I'm in SoCal, so for convenience sake, if he can do that, it is probably a good option for me to go with him.

Thanks guys so much, I am going with Ted at LA Music. Paul at Tobias was wonderful, but since I live in the LA area, LA Music was more convenient for the same price, and both said I could see sets to choose from.

I'd like to order a 717 with an arm rest!! Would it just be the regular price plus the cost of the arm rest if I did that?
-
Go with Ted at LA Guitar Sales - you won't regret it....
