Title: Hello from Guitar Rodeo
Post by: Guitar Rodeo on December 12, 2011, 03:57:31 PM
My name is Jim Tordoff. I have been playing acoustic fretted instruments since 1968 both on stage and off. I have taught music, gigged, jammed, recorded, and practiced all this time and finally admitted I had to support myself somehow.  ;D Being a Taylor dealer was in line with my music background as well as my need to support myself.   I am very pleased to be able to provide a service to people who have an appreciation beyond the transaction for what I do for them. Thanks for making this forum what it is. It is an honor to participate and a pleasure to know you folks.

Hiya Jim, thanks for checking in!
I've lived in the general TC area for 35 years and I only just heard of Guitar Rodeo a few months ago.
Definitely will have to make a trip in there and say "hi!".

You got it Michael!
(Just noticed I'd first said "Jeff", not Jim, oops!  Edited to fix.)

I wonder if anyone from The Podium has been a member at AGF, or if they've gotten the word about this place yet?
Anyone know?

Hello Jim,

I hope this is not rude to ask, but how did you become a Taylor dealer (did you just love Taylors or was there just a need at that time...or some far more exotic and interesting story)?  I have no intention of becoming a dealer, but I have just often wondered what led you down that path.  I you have made many, many people happy, and I am glad to count myself as one of them.

Thanks,

Heath

Welcome to the Forum in your official introduction.  As with several others, we have read a few of your previous posts and look forward to hearing more from you.  I am confident you have a vast amount of knowledge to put forth here.

having purchased and traded around 6 guitars with Jim,  its a pleasure to see his face on this new forum.

Glad to have you here Jim, and folks if you've never dealt with GuitarRodeo, its simply a treat to spend money with the man. Top shelf all the way. The Taylors and Santa Cruz i received from GuitarRodeo have all been beyond expectation in condition and sound.

Cindy,

Your BTO would be a big hit anywhere. Absolutely one of the most stunning customs I have had the pleasure of doing. I almost forgot how incredible it was and then you had those pictures posted. Whoa. I hope you have been spending time playing it and I would like to know how it is opening up and if it sounds as magnificent as it looks.....
