Played every high end guitar in the store (20 or so). No comparison to high end Gibsons, or Martins($3000 dollar martins have plastic fretboards? A disgrace) The 816 sounded so much better than the rest. Took about a week to get used to 13's. I usually play a PRS Modern Eagle II with 10s. The 13s feel soft to me now. What a great sound!

A few quick shots. Best sounding acoustic I've ever played.....I also picked up a PRS SE angelus A/E. Sounds amazing for under a grand.

Hi acidreign1026, welcome to the forum. When you got your 816ce did you test drive it and A/B it next to a 814Ce. I was just wondering what the tone difference is. I have a 814ce and love it. I am thinking the low end is a little deeper, and over all more volume.

Beautiful guitar and the wood on the back of that guitar is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing as I really enjoy seeing pictures of Taylor guitars and how people like them!
