Hi all,
           i just joined, never knew there was an UTGF. I currently don't own a Taylor but joined to try and purchase one on the classifieds. I currently own a 68' Martin D-28. I  owned a 1999 914c englemann top, w/ pink poodle case no electronics installed.  a 2006 914ce englemann top, no cindy inlay, ivoriod bindings, NT neck.

 I also owned a 2003 714ce w/ cedar top, as well as a 314ce 2003, the first year the ES system came out with AA batteries. (had to get the revision done for the battery acid leaks that happened on the first gen ES.)

i loved the 914c but felt it was too loud, (sounded like a crystal harp with a lot of projection), the 2006 914ce sounded very subdued.
 so i found myself looking for a woody sound (why i got a martin d-28)
Now, i'm looking for change in sound again. (i guess the mood changes)

Now, that i saved up, i'm trying to get back into owning a Taylor. i'm looking for a 914ce cindy recent or a 914c 97-00, (maybe a 814ce w/ maple binding) and a GS mini.

i don't really post much but lurk all the time. (Because i don't type well) But looking forward to reading all the interesting posts on this forum:)

Welcome aboard.  I have seen a 914c for sale but for the life of me can not remember where, sorry.

Hi David and welcome to the forum. :) Let's face it, it will only be a matter of time before GAS gets the best of you, and you will soon own another Taylor! Until then, we will all be happy to keep you motivated towards your goal until you reach it. ;D

                                                          and i'm about to close a transaction w/ Pick N Grinner for the 914c (mgap, i saw it:) he has posted on the classifieds. I'll keep you all updated. i'm excited to be getting the taylor itch again@
