Title: DN4e new owner
Post by: golfreggie on December 11, 2012, 05:58:38 PM
Hi One and All,
I discovered this site, and thought I would start perusing it and gleaning information and interesting topics of discussion.  I had a 2004 315ce and sold it and got a 2012 DN4e and just love it.  I did love the jumbo 315 but wanted to move up--I love the dreadnought style and sound and the ovangkol wood is gorgeous.  I have also learned the best way to change my strings via the video that Taylor's website has.  I even found me an electric  screwdriver at at garage sale and bought the adapter for the tuners.  I now find myself enjoying the process of changing strings.  Anyway, glad to have found the site.  Reggie ;D

Welcome aboard!  I appreciate your enthusiasm... and may contact you next time I need to change out strings.  ;)

One note about your signature line: golf?  OK, another note: girls?  As in: plural?  My wife doesn't let me date anymore.   ;D  But, she and the cat (also female) enjoy the music.

Congrats on the DN4e.  Lots of good info and nice folks here on this site.

Best wishes,
Captain Jim

Hi Reggie and welcome to the forum! :)

Sounds like you've picked an awesome guitar! Ovangkol has such an incredible tone--I actually prefer it over many of the more expensive tone woods. Taylor's video on changing strings is wonderful! After watching it, that's how I do my string changes, too. Pretty nifty! ;)
