Title: Newbie
Post by: pickwithaustin on September 30, 2012, 10:35:33 PM
Hello.
I'm Jeff and I have 8 Taylor guitars (along with MANY others... love my Guild's and Gibson's too).  Taylor is the hands down winner though, I must say.  I enjoy exotic woods, which Taylor definitely leads the parade with... but adds incredible sound as well.

Years ago, having never played one, I scoffed at people who bragged about their Taylor.  I eat my hat today.  I was wrong.

Good to be here.
I look forward to learning and sharing.

I will put up some pictures soon... I plan to shoot them all together for a shot, but it's been raining out the past week or so.

Here's the current lineup:

- Taylor 8 String Baritone
- Taylor 12 String (all KOA) K64CE
- Taylor Fall Limited Cocobolo
- Taylor T5C4 Walnut
- Taylor T5C2 KOA
- Taylor Fall Limited (all KOA) KOA GS LTD
- Taylor B.T.O. Custom GS - Macassar Ebony back/sides and Sinker Redwood top

and just added this past weekend:
- Taylor B.T.O. Cocobolo (I will have it in a few weeks, it is back at Taylor for an adjustment to the electronics)

Why would the rain stop a photo or two? Are we to understand that you decided to buy all those Taylors instead of replacing the leaky roof?

:)

I'm retired from professional photography, so I tend to make it an all out full blown production.  :)

Here is one though of the 12 string:

Okay, I realized I have shot some of them to put up on my Facebook in the past.  I still play to do a "family" shot of them all together.  In two weeks my new BTO should be back from Taylor... might wait on that.

This is the Taylor Fall Limited (all KOA) KOA GS LTD.

That is the sad part - I'm so busy most days that I get very little time to play.

This is one of the most beautiful Koa guitars I've ever seen.  Is this chocolate colour its actual color or have you added your photographer touch to it?

One way or another, it's an impressive instrument and picture!
