Hi,
To post pictures on this forum, do you need to copy them from an external server (like photobucket) or can you copy them from your hard drive?
Thanks,
-
I believe you have to use an external server as you mentioned. I posted few pictures yesterday and that was the only way I could figure it out.

Uh.... help. I went to photobucket and for some reason the image did not show when I went to preview my post. Would someone be so kind to give some insight to a poor old man here :-[ You know, thirty steps to posting a picture. Sorry I have not read the details in doing so. Thanks everyone for understanding.

Did you copy the image code below your picture from PB?

Not from below, but the actual http code in the browser bar. This was the way I had done it over at the AGF. Thanks....

if you're using a PC, right click on the pic & a window should pop up -
click on 'Properties' at the bottom & then highlite the address URL & copy it
once back to your post, click on the 'insert image' button, on the left above the smiley
then paste the URL that you previously copied - it should work if i did it correctly
let's see ...
if that still doesn't work, if you can post links of the pics,
the address can be copied from the browser bar at the top,
we can try & help with the direct link-up so they'll appear

When using photobucket you can easily copy and paste the [img] code into your message.
-
Ok fellows, let me see if this works...

I guess I should thank you guys, Michaelw and Chad * Thanks for the help. I forgot to do so when posting the photo above.
-
No problem man, anytime. Nice guitar dude!
-
VERY pretty! Nice deck, too! ;)
-
Thanks Chad and Cindy for the compliments on the guitar. And Cindy, it took a couple of years of me letting the deck age, but I like the rustic look. A side note... My wife bought me a pressure washer about 3 years ago and I think she'd like for me to use it on the deck.
-
i'm sure that Chad's way is a lot easier, as you don't have to click on the 'insert image' link -
i don't have a photobucket account (mine on webshots) & there's a 'post to forum' codeline
to post pics that i'll be using from now on because it is much faster & easier ... thanks Chad
nice 814ce, especially love the tobaccoburst finish :)
if you decide to pressure wash the deck, it would be recommended to remove
any guitars in the vicinity to prevent any unintended 'overhumdification issues' ;)

This is why I love this place so much... Everyone is so helpful and there is a pleasant tone to everything here. And Michael, you are a hoot ;D about the over-humidification part. I like to have a guitar handy, but you are correct that I should place it elsewhere. Talk to you all later....

When using photobucket you can easily copy and paste the "IMG" code into your message.
Yes, with Photobucket, if you hover over the image you want to use, it brings up several options below the pic. Just click on the "IMG" code and it will copy the link. Then come back here and paste it.

If you use a different web site to host your pics (not Photobucket), then you may need to paste the url for the pic, highlight the url, then use the Insert Image link that is found above the box when writing your messages.
