Title: Taylor 12-string string spacing
Post by: phavriluk on May 27, 2023, 10:17:56 PM
I have a question that I could ask Taylor customer service, but I'd need to be patient across this holiday weekend, so here goes:

Does anyone know the size of the air gap between the two strings on octave pairs on Taylor guitars?  I use Taylor practices as my standards on my scratchbuilt guitars ever since I bought a  GS Mini.  Copying good design seems like a rational idea.

Thanks, folks.

Looking at my 756ce, measured with a feeler gauge, they're spaced .063-.065 measured right at the nut.

Scott, thanks very much.  I apologize for my delayed response, life got in the way.  But now I have some concrete numbers to work around.  Much obliged.
