I originally practiced my guitar in our small office with the computer etc, it was too cramped and had to remove the office chair since the arms are fixed.
I then ended up on the dining room table which had it's own problems with the TV close by etc.
The other day my friend was here to play his Taylor too and we started sweating since my wife loves the house at 80 degrees.
We were only about 8 feet away from the wood stove.
It's then that I came up with the idea to move to the exercise room and here's what I came up with.
One bad thing is the humidity in that room is about 60% so I bought a small dehumidifier, I'm not happy with it's performance.
The electric heater does more in a half hour to lower the humidity than the dehumidifier.
We humidify the downstairs because of the wood heat so that migrates upstairs.

That looks great! You're gonna love your own space. I have a dedicated music room too. Thanks for sharing!
And now you can exercise after practicing.....no excuses! ;)

Thanks Susie, you have a nice room too.
I had never cantilevered anything like this top, with 3 drawers, but it feels like it could support my weight.
It's screwed to 4 studs with 8 screws through 3/4 Baltic Birch plywood, tough plywood.
A fun project. :D
There's enough room for 2 guitar players when I fold up the Total Gym.
My friend Ed says the acoustics are better in that room.
Isn't guitar playing exercising too ?. ;)

Thanks!
You bet, guitar playing is great exercise!
You do beautiful work!

Very nice woodnut !! Looks like plenty of room to boot!! 8)

Thanks Susie & Shorty.
Since it's a rainy miserable day, here's a little side track from the subject, a 6 drawer dresser I made for my wife in January.
It too has push to open drawer slides, love the no hardware look.

You do amazing work! So beautiful. You should build guitars!
I'm proud to have a little piece of your work with one of your foot stools. I love it!

Good move for the guitar room, not so good for exercising.
As long as everybody is happy and the sound of the room is better, it is all good.
The new table is pretty cool, as is the dresser. Love the woods.

You should build guitars!
Taylor does such a fantastic job so I can't see getting into making guitars at this stage of my life.
As long as everybody is happy and the sound of the room is better, it is all good.
I'm the only one that exercises anymore in that room since my wife goes to the gym several times a week.
Thanks for the kudos :) Danny

wow! that’s very very nice!

Thank you.
Ed came over yesterday and we played guitars in the room with lunch and dinner brakes.
He likes the room setup and the acoustics.
Having a dedicated room for guitar playing is great.
