modded my new koa mini today

Buffed to a nice shine,and added an M1 pickup...just need a clear pick guard...its a shame Taylor didn't put a clear one on and sucks that they don't sell a clear pick guard for the minis..

How did you buff it out?  I'll bet it looks great, the pic doesn't really show the new finish.  Like the end pins, I want to get some nicer ones for my HV Mini.

Easy..I've buffed out,my old 314s,my new324 and 314....satin gtrs get shiny in spots from playing,so I buff the whole thing and it looks amazing..use meguiars,fine cut cleaner( from auto place)..put a little on a soft cotton clothe and rub away...takes about an hr,slow and gentle...I hate gloss guitars and this way the satin gets a nice shine and depth,but not too glossy...

Nice, I have noticed that on my mandolin with a satin finish there is a shiny spot where I must be putting my pinky down and over time it has gotten shiny.  I like it.
