Welcome!  I bet,that 96 912 is a peach. I am a sucker for the mid 90s Taylors.

Cheers

Paul,
The 912 is the LOUDEST guitar I have ever played. Pretty amazing for such a small body.
Both my 610 & 912 have the old style thin necks - 11/16" nuts. I've tried some newer Taylors, but my aging hands just really are used to the old thinner necks.

Ahhh, the 90s necks!  I know just what you mean, although I prefer the 1.75" Nut.  If these necks are your cup of tea, I suggest getting the "slim carve" option on the post 1999 Taylors. Pretty much the same thing.

Play on!

Cheers

Paul :)

Once saw a slim carve neck Brazilian at a roadshow -- know what you mean about their slickness!
