I was an early adaptor and have not had much issue with the 4 I have. Maybe he was referring to the app? It was prone to crash more often when first out.

I saw on the Taylor YouTube channel where Bob was on he admitted how Taylor Sense "wasn't good enough" in the early days.  I have two and have little problems with them, but I was wondering if someone could fill me in?  Was the app bad?  Bad readings?  Did they do a recall?  Just curious for those who tried it early on.

Agreed.  I was OK with ES1.2 in my 2006 GS-K (aka K16) and the ES1.3 with 9V battery was an incremental improvement in my other guitars.  Either worked perfectly fine for my needs, with ES1.3 was definitely the pinnacle, IMO.  Apparently Taylor does not care about alienating their long time customers.   ???  I have no illusion that they will voluntarily abandon ES2 anytime soon, so I'm out of the market.
