NGD: Taylor GS Mini AA Koa Road Show Ltd, modified!
« on: December 07, 2017, 01:46:14 PM »
I have had this for a few months, but wanted to do some minor modifications before taking pictures..

I added :
-Gotoh 510 mini tuners (Aged Gold, slightly darker than the more common Antique Gold)
-Ebony Bridgepins w abalone
-Ebony Truss Rod Cover
-Bone Saddle
-Black strap pin

Obviously the top has some of the nicest grain Ive ever seen on a Mini! Even without gloss it really shows up..

Huge thanks to Paul at Tobias Music for this beauty!

That's the nicest Mini I've ever seen. Congratulations! I've wondered how mini 510s would look on a GS Mini, and they look amazing; it really sets the guitar off nicely. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but they look more like antique chrome to me -- but I may be wrong. Regardless, they're perfect for that guitar.

Oh yeah!!!!  Easily the nicest GSm I've seen, congrats on all counts!

BTW, in that original pic, are those the antique gold 510s on there?...they "seem" to look like antique nickel.  Were those on there and you put the gold 510s on?  If that's the case, do you still have the old mini 510s laying around??  (hint hint ;) )

I wasn't aware Gotoh had an antique nickel finish, but looked at their website and there it was. That's a really cool finish and those are awesome looking tuners. Thanks for mentioning the antique nickel finish.

They are aged gold, not antique nickel or gold, on my guitar..

Thanks for the closeup pic!  I had never noticed "aged" gold (like Amos never noticed the antique nickel, lol!  I like it a lot ...almost like the naturally worn finish off my LesPaul's gold hardware where the nickel peeks through the worn gold fin.  Very nice!

Yes, I've never heard of antique nickel or aged gold -- aged gold is super nice! I found a link: http://www.japarts.ca/Gotoh/Gotoh-Exclusive-AG-Aged-Gold.asp
