Howdy from Texas
« on: February 08, 2016, 02:55:06 PM »
Howdy y'all,
I'm new to the forum and new to Taylor guitars. Started last year with a new 114ce, and got GAS so just purchased a 1999 414ce. It has the bumps and bruises you would expect from a 17 yr old guitar that was owned by a musician. The top has aged to the point it almost looks like cedar. It does sound sweet. Anyway, thanks for the invite and lookin forward to chatting with y'all.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your two Taylors! I know what you are saying about the top on your 1999 414ce looking like cedar. I have a 2002 414 that has aged the same way and it sounds awesome too! These "played in" Taylors are special. Hang around and we'll help you decide on your third Taylor.  ::)

Welcome to the forum longhorn68.  I like the way the color changes over time, yours looks great.
