Pre-amp 1.3/Taylorsense
« on: October 16, 2017, 10:10:24 PM »
I have not been able to use the Taylorsense on my phone for several weeks now.  I can not understand why my Bluetooth will not connect with the Taylorsense, it can not find it.  I also realized that the LED light is not on the preamp, this has me concerned.
I have installed a new battery.
I have turned the Bluetooth off and back on.
Checking in Settings on my phone the Bluetooth is not discovering the guitar at all.
I have taken the new battery out of the battery box and then reinstalled it.

I have not been able to talk to anybody at customer service.

Anybody have any ideas?

Trying to talk to Customer Service can take some time.  I still have not been able to talk to anyone.

Have you tried plugging in? Does the pre amp work? Any chance of a dead new battery? I know it sounds far fetched. I had to reboot my phone last week to get my Bluetooth working again, with the Taylorsense and others. It is an iPhone 6 that is really slowing down though....
Let us know what you find.

So after three months I have called Taylor customer service again and got right in.  The long delay is not Taylors fault at all.  I just never followed up on the Taylorsense malfunction.  Any way I called them and got right in, A very pleasant and helpful customer service agent went through the talylorsense with me.  We troubleshot the whole thing top to bottom.  It turns out he feels the Bluetooth on the circ board is not working.  So he is sending me a new one.  Great customer service.

I received the replacement TaylorSense.  Now everything works just great.
Taylor has unbelievably good  Customer service.
I absolutely suggest everybody get the Taylor sense.  It is the easiest way to monitor your guitar, record with it.
I think I will get another one for, well... maybe a new Builders Edition, yea that would be nice.
That ought to keep my Wood and Steel coming  :) ;) :D ;D :o 8)

I have version 11.2.5  It works fine.  No issues with software at all.  I just checked and my Taylor it is at 48% humidity, 56deg. F temp., I have 69% battery life left, and 0 impacts.  Ya, she is doing just fine.
