Please take a few moments to review the guidelines for the forum and the marketplace.

Unofficial Taylor Guitar Forum Guidelines & Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Be respectful

Please refrain from using profane (this includes substituting characters or abbreviations) or vulgar language.

Everyone's opinion is valued & each one's opinion should be respected, regardless if it differs from one's own -
As many topics are subjective in nature, with no 'right-or-wrong' & widely-varying opinions,
please keep an open mind & respect others as you would like to be respected in return.

Accusatory or inflammatory remarks directed towards another member or entity
will edited or deleted as deemed necessary by the administrator & the moderators.

Unauthorized use of unowned material (including downloading, altering, saving & uploading)
without prior consent of the legal owner (commercial or otherwise) will be deleted -
Any subsequent violation(s) of this nature will result in account suspension.

ALL posts regarding forum guidelines and UTGF staff moderation will be DELETED without notice.

Please feel free to PM the moderators or the administrator to report questionable/objectionable posts
or for further clarification regarding edited or deleted posts, if needed ... or, just to say 'hey' !
 
2. No price or pricing discussions in public forums
Please feel free to utilize PM's for pricing discussions, including negotiations for items in the marketplace -
All prices (including MSRP, %'s, options, accessories, etc.) appearing in the forum areas other than the marketplace will be deleted.

Also, please refrain from 'promoting' an item that is for sale or for trade in the forum areas that are outside of the marketplace.

3. Please refrain from open discussions regarding religion or politics.

All members should and can only have 1 user account.
If multiple accounts are created for 1 user, the admin will ban that user.

4. For our dealers & product manufacturers

Thank you for taking the time to participate & for sharing your knowledge & expertise !

Please refrain from advertising (actively promoting) your business in the open forum.
When & if dealer sponsors become available, a separate subforum will be created for this purpose.

Commercial activity will be edited or deleted  & subsequent posts will result in account suspension.
If a member or dealer wishes to receive more specific information from another dealer, please utilize PMs.

Marketplace Guidelines FAQ

We have instated a minimum post count in order to be able to participate in the Marketplace.
ALL threads within the Marketplace from members that have not made the "30" post mark will be deleted.

ALL items FOR SALE or TRADE are to be music related.
Allowable items are guitars, instruments, amps, cables, music books, tuners, etc.

1. Please provide an asking price for the item in your thread &/or a trade value if you are looking to 'swap gear' with someone.

2. Specific details are also helpful as well, such as payment types that are accepted, fees (i.e. PayPal, shipping method & cost.

3. PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR EMAIL OR PERSONAL INFORMATION in your ad.
The buyer can and should contact you via PM here.
If you would like the buyer to have your email address, it can be sent via PM.
This will help prevent possible scammers etc as they phish for email addresses etc.
Any ad with your EMAIL ADDRESS showing will be deleted.

Please utilize PMs for any negotiations, trade offers & responses to WTB threads -
Please use caution when buying and selling, as the www.unofficialtaylorguitarforum.com
and it's owner is not, and will not be, liable for any types of sales or purchases.

Any sales and purchases are at both parties risk and both parties will take sole responsibility for any type of transaction.

Each seller is responsible for the assessing of their guitars worth/value.
Please do not contact the staff for appraisals.

The UTGF staff recommends obtaining adequate contact information via PM and that e-mail or,
ideally, a telephone call be used when considering purchasing an item listed in Marketplace.

Try to avoid using unsecured payment types, such as a bank or wire transfer or a 'Gift' option, as any of
which will leave no recourse for the buyer if there are any complications resulting from the transaction.
Using a credit card to fund a PayPal payment offers the buyer the best level of protection.'

When an item has been sold or is no longer available, please edit the thread and click on the
"Report to moderator" link to notify the staff so that the thread can be be removed.

In order to keep this area of the forum current, neat and organized, any thread within the Marketplace that has been
inactive for 60 days will be deleted. Please feel free to repost your item if it is still available for sale or trade.
