I just plucked up the courage
« on: November 18, 2017, 06:14:24 AM »
I scraped the finish on my 816ce First Edition when it was fairly new and I've lived with it ever since but every time I look at it it bothered me.

I asked a rep at a roadshow and he said it couldn't be repaired without refinishing the whole top, a local guy (mainly electric) didn't want to know either. Anyway I met an acoustic guitar builder at a guitar show the other week and to cut a long story short, It is in his hands for a week.

Fingers crossed but he seemed confident about it.

It's not easy to photograph, hopefully it'll be much harder to photograph when it comes back.
