***G7th Heritage Capo Review and Giveaway ***
« on: December 19, 2016, 09:28:06 PM »
Here it is!  Our great friends at G7th Capos have graciously again, donated one of their capos as a giveaway on our forum!

To Enter: Simply reply to this thread!    Not required to win but be sure to thank G7th!  The contest will run until January 1st and a winner will be chosen randomly on January 2nd!  Anyone can enter. Multiple entries will be deleted.  I will mail this capo anywhere in the world!

Below is my review of the Heritage capo

Model:  Heritage  (yoke style)

Packaging: The Heritage came in a hard cardboard box with the G7th logo in silver. Within the box there is a card with the capo information (more on the card in a minute) and a leather case with a snap button. The leather case contained the Heritage along with a soft cloth to clean it.

Capo Appearance: Like most G7 capos, this a very robust yet SLIM capo.  I believe that G7th has really struck gold when they designed their capos. Their capos are slim and to me that's important. Larger capos tend to get in the way, yet I've never had that issue with their models. It's made of stainless steel and the inside of the capo has that super soft rubber padding on all parts of the yoke.  At no point will the steel actually come into contact with your guitars neck

Each Heritage is engraved with a serial number on the "stem" part of the capo that tightens or loosens like a screw.  The card in the box also comes with the serial number hand written on it with Nick Campling's (founder and owner's autograph.)  This company cares that you receive the genuine product.

Capo Performance:  The Heritage was easy to place on the neck and like most yoke style capos is easy to adjust. The "stem" part of the capo winds/really easily.  The nice part about yoke styles is that you control the amount of pressure put on the strings.  Oh wait....that's how the majority of G7th capos are.   ;D It's nice to know that your neck and strings aren't going to be crushed with pressure.  It was super easy to adjust up and down the fret board.  You can't ask for better.

I wanted to also add that this Heritage capo features what G7th calls "Adaptive Radius Technology (ART) this allows the padding to adapt and provide equal pressure across all the strings with minimal force so that none of the strings bend sharp.

Here's a great video on the Heritage!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FavpZRSF5Rc

Capo Quality: The build is solid, and like the other models G7th backs this capo up with a lifetime warranty.  You'll need to visit their website and register the capo first.  This is a great product, and G7th didn't over look any details.  I know it's small thing, but it really impressed me with the engraved serial number which matches the card.

Well enough of my ramblings!  Take a look at the pics below!

Once again be sure to thank G7th!  When you have a moment go visit their website: http://www.g7th.com/home.aspx
