Sounds exciting.... maybe they will change the headstock to match the R Taylor design too!

That sounds like the bracing rumor.  Something exciting to look forward to.  However, I would put the NT neck ahead of any bracing changes (if that is it).

I think so. Pointed out on another forum....

https://patents.google.com/patent/US9520108B1/en?q=G10D3%2f02&assignee=TAYLOR-LISTUG%2c+INC.

"There exists between the two considerations of the structure supporting the strings a direct opposition. Namely, opposition between the rigidity needed for long sustaining vibration and flexibility needed to produce audible volume in the form of vibrational amplitude. Conventionally, instruments are constructed in a manner which attempts to balance rigidity and flexibility to result in a musical instrument possessing both sustain and volume.

Typical guitars and similar instruments often employ a series of structural supports on the underside of the top or face of the instrument, commonly with two main supporting braces arrayed in an intersecting arrangement resembling the letter X........ This method is a compromise between the rigidity of the instrument's top and its flexibility and ability to vibrate......"

Presumably Power's new (patented) bracing results in less of a compromise, Taylor doesn't say.....

And then I note this recent related blog...

I just watched the video again. I agree there's some sort of design/bracing change coming and maybe also a shift from Bob to Andy in terms of the company. That being said, that back looks small to me. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a nice Taylor parlor guitar.  ;) ;D

Or could it be a nice baritone ukulele?

A couple of intriguing wood combinations there... Just last night I was just playing a Custom GA in Redwood/EIR that I really liked as a finger-style/light strumming guitar, so I'm thinking the 812ce 12-fret in that wood combination will be right down the middle of the plate for finger-style fans!

Personally, I'm kind-of hoping the 12-string GO in Lutz/Blackwood won't follow the trend of other GO's I've played in all-Koa (a K28e & a Custom GO-12) or Sitka/Blackwood (2014 518e-FLTD) that all seemed to have a disappointing 'hollow can' tonal characteristic to them...  If it sounds better, I can see that one fitting nicely into my collection.

That 812ce 12fret cedar/rosewood would complement my 512ce perfectly lol
