Hello from Canuckistan.
« on: December 04, 2017, 01:48:03 PM »
Greetings Earthlings!

Just found this site and looking forward to exploring and maybe have something useful or interesting to contribute. I was in a band in the day playing around Ontario for years, and then stopped playing for 35 years or so.
Recently started playing at home again and collecting electric guitars I wanted as a kid.
My only acoustic was a 1971 Yamaha FG-180 red label I bought new, (they call it the poor mans D-28) the action was not that comfortable to play so I upped my game a little.
Proud owner of a Taylor 314-ce now and have not put it down. I played Martins and a few others in the price range but kept coming back to the Taylor.
I am going to sit at the back of the class for a while and see what I can learn.
Thanks for the admit.
Cheers
DuFf

Welcome to the forum DuFf.  You pick out a fine first Taylor.

Hello Duff,

I think there are a lot of us who stopped playing for 30+ years and got back on the train again.  The resonating sounds of the Taylor guitar help ease the aching hands when I actually take the time to listen and enjoy it.

Have not heard Canuck in a very long time. My wife and I lived about 45 minutes South of Montreal back in the mid 70's and they said Canuck every day.  That's about the time I learned that they speak English in Ontario.  Who knew.  We only got tv from Poland Spring,Me and they signed off at 11:00pm

Welcome and keep the music coming
