Hello from beautiful BC
« on: October 13, 2017, 02:58:58 PM »
Hi All,
New to Taylor guitars this year with the purchase of a GS mini with EST and then a 312CE. The GSM floored me and is one of my favorite guitars. The little engine that could. I have been playing in church setting for 26 years and like so many others am always looking at different guitars and so on. May main guitar is a 2001 Tacoma DR16CE which continues to surprise me. They don't get a lot of love but I'll hang on to this one. The 312CE is a great guitar as well. I am not a huge fan of the expression system, or at least not that generation, but I like the size and weight and more importantly the playability. Both Taylor's are great players.
My next will definitely be a 12 fret, likely the 322CE. But I might not get away with buying 3 in same year so hopefully next year. Something about happy wife happy....can't remember the rest, lol. Looking forward to discovering what others are doing to get the most out of their Taylor's on stage.
Rob

You'll love it!  That Hog/Tasmanian blackwood combo is a really dark, meaty sound. Definitely a little different from the rest of the line.  Welcome to the group!  ;D

Just spent a week down there renting a loft in old Victoria. Bought the 312 on that trip. Was born there and the trip was a blast.

Welcome Sierra!

Nice guitars you have there. I have a 324e that's a great addition to my GA stable.  Bet you'll love the unique tone of that 322. It's not too far from 2018!
My Taylor Grand Auditoriums:

1997 Cujo14 - old growth cedar/black walnut
2014 K24e - master grade koa
2018 Custom GA - bear claw sitka spruce/mahogany
2019 614 - torrified sitka spruce/flamed maple
2020 714 - lutz spruce/rosewood
