We are losing so many artists of the 60s and 70s
J.Geils dies at 71

We are losing so many artists of the 60s and 70s...

It's just not right that established rock artists from these eras, like J. Geils, will -- presumably someday -- be give the hollow honor of posthumous induction into the R&R HoF...  Especially after so many flash-in-the-pan and 'unqualified' artists are already in...

Has a cause of death been reported?  His death seemed kind-of sudden.

I agree one hundred percent.

Apparently Mr. Geils was also a collector of vintage cars; his collection is being auctioned off in August at Mecum Monterey 2017.

I was told from a reliable source (a guy I trust who is in a position to know) that Geils started playing music on the trumpet. He supposedly owned Louis Armstrong's trumpet.
