Since November I've been busy making new furniture for our home.
I started out with the dining table, (it has two 15" leaves) then the coffee table, 2 end tables, corner table & then a TV cabinet & a Cabinet to house my guitar amp from view.
The amp is in the cabinet in the rear with the Tiffany lamp, the door is open.
The furniture is made of Canary Wood, figured Western Maple, American Black Walnut & Jatoba.
Check out the Western Maple figure on the coffee table apron, we love it.
I didn't want any hardware spoiling the look of the wood, so the doors and drawers are push to open & close.
We purchased the 8 folding chairs at Costco, a convenient way to have a table for 8 without all those full sized chairs hanging around getting in the way.
It then occurred to me, to complete the set, I needed a table top music stand.
The music stand is made of Canary Wood and it folds flat by removing the 3/8" dowel, which is held in with compression springs.
It has a slot for a pencil right in front of where my book will sit.
I have Velcro to hold the two supports in place so they don't flop around while carrying it.
The finish is conversion varnish.
