I will gladly post my BTO when it arrives. Great pics and wow!! That shaded edgeburst Adi is amazing.

Agree, the shading on Cindys guitar is AMAZING. It has such a classic/vintage vibe to it..

I asked for some striping on my Adi top with the shaded edgeburst:

HOLY COW Cindy!  I now see why you were willing to let go of your 614ce and 914ce.  That is amazing!!!

I'm a dyed in the wool Grand Concert guy and right now I'm down to only 2 Taylors, but they provide a great diversity of tone.

2010 All mahogany BTO with CV bracing, Tortoise binding, 900 series rosette, small diamond fretboard markers, 1 3/4 T5 neck carve, standard scale length. I ordered this mid 2010, before the Mahogany 2011 spring limiteds were intoduced. I like to think that maybe I had some influence on those limiteds, but most likely it's just wishful thinking on my part.

And the old standby.....1994 612c Quilted Maple. I purchased this used a few years ago and
am under strict direction from my wife to never, ever sell it.....even if we just look at it hanging on the wall.

Always room for one more, though.....

Actually nothing very exotic.

Canon 7D body
Canon 17-85 IS lens
Gitzo CF tripod
normally shot at about f/8 or f/10
No Flash
Post Processing in Adobe LIghtroom

Cindy,
the features on your 914ce are an absolutely stunning combination -
i can't remember the last time one caught my attention that much (whip-lash)

i can only imagine what it sounds like -
i had an adi top 914ce (coco) & a couple of Spring 716ceLTDs (madi),
but combining an adi top with madasgascar ... i'll bet it's amazing :D

congrats
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

Gary, that tortoise binding on the BTO is absolutely amazing!!!  Does it go around the body in addition to the neck?
Wow, just wow!

I'll have to get a new key board thanks to you...all the drooling etc...   ;)

Thanks for the nice comment, Josh, too.

Yes, the tortoise is the body binding too, but it it more understated than the neck binding. When the sunlight doesn't highlight the gold flecks in the body binding it looks more like ebony like it does in the first picture. But, that neck binding is really nice for me to see when I'im playing.,

BTW, I found the BTO guys at Taylor, and my regional rep Aaron Dablow, to be really helpful in guiding me through the many BTO options. Buying a guitar that one has never played, much less one you've never ever seen a picture of, can be nerve wracking. However, the results were beyond my highest expectations and the sound of this guitar is just heavenly.

Kudos to the guys at Taylor....

I asked for some striping on my Adi top with the shaded edgeburst:

My GA3 has a little striped ebony on its fretboard so I also asked if striped ebony was an option for a BTO fretboard as I had never seen one specifically made that way before. The fretboard and bridge are Macassar Ebony.

And the back is Madagascar Rosewood.

Cindy I have to say Wow!
Who helped you dream up this dream boat!  That has to be my favorite late model BTO i've seen .  Congrats. I can't post pics Yet of any thing i have.
