Rules for the Forum & Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
« on: December 08, 2011, 10:12:56 PM »
Hi All,

So glad to have each and every one of you here!  Here are just some rules to keep this forum going and friendly.

1. Be respectful

Please refrain from using profane (this includes substituting characters or abbreviations) or vulgar language.

Everyone's opinion is valued & each one's opinion should be respected, regardless if it differs from one's own -
As many topics are subjective in nature, with no 'right-or-wrong' & widely-varying opinions,
please keep an open mind & respect others as you would like to be respected in return

Accusatory or inflammatory remarks directed towards another member or entity
will edited or deleted as deemed necessary by the adminstrator & the moderators

Unauthorized use of unowned material (including downloading, altering, saving & uploading)
without prior consent of the legal owner (commercial or otherwise) will be deleted -
Any subsequent violation(s) of this nature will result in account suspension

Please feel free to PM the moderators or the administrator to report questionable/objectable posts
or for further clarification regarding edited or deleted posts, if needed ... or, just to say 'hey'

2. Guitar Price discussions are NOT allowed. Price discussions on everything on everything else is allowed.
Please feel free to utilize PM's for guitar pricing discussions, including negotiations for items in the marketplace -
Guitar prices (including MSRP, %'s, options, accessories, etc.)will be deleted.

Also, please refrain from 'promoting' an item that is for sale or
for trade in the forum areas that are outside of the marketplace

3. Please refrain from open discussions regarding religion or politics

All members should and can only have 1 user account.
If multiple accounts are created for 1 user, the admin will ban that user

4. For our dealers & product manufacturers

Thank you for taking the time to participate & for sharing your knowledge & expertise

Please refrain from advertising (actively promoting) your business in the open forum.
When & if dealer sponsors become available, a separate subforum will be created for this purpose

Commerical activity will be edited or deleted  & subsequent posts will result in account suspension.
If a member or dealer wishes to receive more specific information from another dealer, please utilize PMs

Again, thank you all for joining the forum & for making it a friendly, enjoyable & informative place!

Please participate often, enjoy each others company & encourage others to join our community!

Have fun!  ;D

Overriding the Hyperlink Feature - Originally posted by Cindy :)
(this should be functioning normally, but if it is not)

1. Highlight your text and click on the Insert Hyperlink button.

Your text should look like this:
Code: [Select]
Facebook Page for the Unofficial Taylor Guitar Forum
2. In the first url bracketed section, add an equal sign and the URL address
so it now looks like this:
Code: [Select]
Facebook Page for the Unofficial Taylor Guitar Forum
Then it will look and work like this:

Posting Pictures from a Photo Hosting Site

1. Open an account with a Photo Hosting Site (such as PhotoBucket, Webshots, etc)

2. Upload your pictures to an album

3. Select the picture you wish to post -
around 200KB size or close to it, is ideal,
as the entire picture should display without having to scroll

4. Right-Click on the picture
Select & Click on 'Copy image URL' from the pop-up window

On the Forum Post page

5. Click on the 'Insert Image' button
located on the 2nd row, far left (below the bold 'B' button)

6. Move the cursor between the 'img' brackets
Right Click, select 'Paste' & Click

7. Repeat Steps 3. thru 6. for each picture

8. Click on 'Preview' on the lower fight hand corner of the screen
to verify that the picture(s) & text are being displayed as desired

9. Click 'Post'
it's not about what you play,
it's all about why you play ...

Please do not link any smiley's from OTHER web sites or even ones you host yourself. Some of them have generated warnings that these sites are not safe and may contain malware. All linked smiley's that I could find have been deleted. The smiley's we use here are NOT a problem. And if you spot one that isn't hosted from this site, please let us know. Thanks! :)
